Carbon unleashes new naughty 'bots!
The art team at Warrington have now released their new 'bot characters. These guys were created as a test bed and showcase for our clients interested in first rate motion tracking, compositing and character animation.
We shot the background plate on a Canon 5D, tracked in Nuke, modelled and animated the robot in Maya, textured in Mudbox, composited in After Effects. Graded in Colour.
The background plate was shot with a lot of motion to see how extreme we could go with the motion tracking. It tracked perfectly but we then decided to stabilise the finished comp anyway. Total time for everything was about 5 working days with the majority of the time spent on the texturing. Animation was done in a day.
